She straightens up, bounces on her heels, and claps, loudly, the 'Shave and a Hair-Cut' tune, to get everyone's attention.
"Okay, kids! Mama's got her game face on again. Thanks for the assist! Here's how it is:" she cracks her knuckles, waits a dramatic moment, and then continues.
"We didn't want this. None of us have Dog Eats Homework as a win condition. We knew this was possible, but - this sucks. This isn't how we want things to end. So when it started happening, we came up with Plan B. Ix and Mort have put the Vale on hold - actually if you want to get technical we just suspended entropy in that universe, not one electron will de-spin until we let it. You can, uh, stop trying to get their attention now, because that's not as easy as it sounds."
"Tall Dark and Gnarly came next. Zie established a bond to everyone in the Spire and Terraces, so we could pull them in. Then he gave things over to your girl here-"
And she gestures at herself and gives a smile that's both bashful and a little smirk-y at the same time.
"And I opened six thousand, one hundred and twenty-one portals to bring everybody in. Because I'm just that cool. We got everybody in Fallenheart."
She spreads her hands in a gesture of 'Presto!' Then her smile fades.
"... But we weren't meant to do anything like this. We've never done anything on this scale in a Jaunt world before. Not ever-ever. So, um... we need your help. We don't have the energy to put anyone back. We don't have the energy to unbind them, to open the doors, or to make Big Daddy Time do his thing again."
Across the stage, at that description, Hermit shudders a little. Please don't ever say 'Big Daddy Time' ever again.
"So. We figured out a trick. You guys can generate the power. You have to dance for us - for each of us. If you do, we'll put together everything we've got, find somewhere and somewhen safe to set these nice people down, and you can go back to saving the Vale. It's going to take us a little while to get set up, but once we do, it's up to you guys. We're tapped out. We need you right now - and so do all of them."
She gestures at the still images on the side-screens. She doesn't say what will happen if they don't.
